The article discusses the possibility of using a digital footprint in the information system of IrGUPS. The digital footprint is presented as an array of information left by the subjects of the educational process (first of all, students and teachers) in the IrGUPS information network and the global information network, which can be analyzed, processed and used in order to improve the educational space and improve the quality of pedagogical work. Digital footprint technology can be applied to organize and manage the educational process; management of the educational system as a whole.
