Аннотация:

Smart cities are developing all over the world, and many governments have invested and are investing large sums of money in the development of smart cities. This development is not the result of an overnight solution, rather, smart cities have developed over a period of time, directly from earlier stages: from the digital city to the green city, the sustainable city, the eco-city, etc. The modern era has been marked by high-speed 5G wireless, fast GPU-based multi-core servers, big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and data analytics. Many of these new technologies are contributing to the development and implementation of smart cities. This study presents a general overview of security for smart cities and provides a deeper understanding of what we mean by security for smart cities. The authors discusses the applicability of existing security methods of authentication, access control, encryption, firewalls and their suitability for smart city security.
